Juventus to extend Ronaldo’s £30m-a-season deal to 2023

There were rumours circulating claiming Ronaldo wanted to sign a new deal days after Juventus’ Super Cup defeat against Lazio. Corriere dello Sport report that Ronaldo believes he has got plenty left to offer and is interested in extending his contract even beyond 2023 after holding talks about his future with his agent Jorge Mendes at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards.Advertisement Loading… Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is aware of Ronaldo’s thoughts and is prepared to offer him a three-year deal with the view of an additional 12 months. The contract could be signed in the spring, when Juventus will have a better idea of what trophies could still be won this season. Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli is hopeful of reaching a fast agreement with Ronaldo, who he sees as a vital presence in the dressing room. The 34-year-old has already helped younger players such as Adrien Rabiot and Matthijs de Ligt settle at the club. The Italian champions are also set to welcome 19-year-old Dejan Kulusevski from Parma in a £24m deal, another player for the future which could benefit from being around Ronaldo. Southern FA Chairmen Back Eagles’ Preparation for World Cup

first_img“The meeting also committed to encouraging brotherhood among the states in the southern region and stronger co-operation and exchange in technical and other areas of the game, and called on the leaders of the game in the region to interface and deliberate more on exchange programmes and to ensure cross-fertilisation of ideas on a regular basis,” Akinwunmi, convener of the meeting and Chairman of the Western Nigeria Football Forum, told NFF website yesterday. Chairmen of the Football Associations in the South West (Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti states); South East (Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi states) and; South South (Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom) zones attended the meeting.
