Heres Sonic The Hedgehogs Gross LiveAction Movie Body

first_imgStay on target In ‘Team Sonic Racing,’ Why Does Sonic Drive A Car?Live-Action ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Delayed to 2020 The curse of Paramount’s live-action Sonic the Hedgehog draws ever closer as alleged leaks of the full CGI character design have begun popping up all over the internet. And by “full” we mean “you can see his horrible human eyes and hands with white fur in place of gloves.” The images comes from brand development agency Hamagami/Carroll, Inc. and include wonderful tips for keeping Sonic’s spirit alive in marketing. It’s crucial to remember that Sonic is chill and mischievous but definitely not malicious. We won’t post all the images here, because they are getting taken down and because we also want to spare you. But here’s a taste. And keep reading for more awful glimpses at Sonic’s cinematic body.cursed image of apparently the Sonic the Hedgehog design for the live action movie https://t.co/KfLxHLW6xI pic.twitter.com/l1tfjedS3l— Wario64 (@Wario64) March 4, 2019If you thought that Pokemon: Detective Pikachu would be 2019’s only live-action video game adaptation with disgustingly hairy and muscular takes on previously cute virtual creatures from the 1990s then I’m afraid we’ve got some bad news for you. Our sister site IGN has the first look at the live-action Sonic The Hedgehog movie. And just based on this shadowy motion poster, this CGI take on Sega’s speedster has got to go, and fast.Take a look at the brand new motion poster for Sonic The Hedgehog right here! pic.twitter.com/15n5APqaM0— IGN (@IGN) December 10, 2018Honestly realistic Pikachu looks like a triumph of character design compared to this haunted silhouette. The head shape is basically right but why does he have such a furry but lean and ripped adult man’s body? We guess the idea is that he’s lithe and athletic, like a runner. But it just looks so wrong. Classic Sonic’s little potbelly gives him cartoon charm when paired with his trickster speed. This looks like a monster, even more than Modern Sonic when he actually turned into a monster. And we’re already terrified we haven’t yet seen what they did so Sonic’s (admittedly weird) one big eye. Producer Tim Miller (of Deadpool!) singled out the eye as a particular sticking point when discussing the design with Sega. We assume the sneakers also caused a lot of discussion. And now just days after we thought we had recovered from this first picture, a new poster emerged from the darkness giving us a sunny soul-searing look at Sonic’s hairy and distressingly long outstretched legs overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. The gross picture isn’t the only new Sonic movie detail we learned though. According to IGN, the team compared Sonic’s “fish out of water” role in the movie to 2012’s Ted. They’re still finalizing exactly how the speed looks. Director Jeff Fowler is a Sonic devotee who wants to please other fans, hopefully including the ones who like to draw. And voice actor Ben Schwartz was (perfectly) cast after helping out on a test video. Between all that and other details like James Marsden as sheriff of Green Hills and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, you start to think maybe this could work. But look at the poster again and try to keep it together.Sonic The Hedgehog curses theaters next November.
