Superjam-Heavy Rex Foundation Benefit “Unlimited Devotion” Taps Kimock, Kadlecik, Porter Jr., And More

first_imgWavy Gravy, the legendary Grateful Dead clown and social activist, is returning to Ardmore Music Hall on June 9th and 10th as the guest of honor for Unlimited Devotion: A Weekend of Goodness. Unlimited Devotion is charity event benefitting the Rex Foundation and Camp Winnarainbow that will celebrate all things Grateful Dead, including all-star musical performances and a screening of the new Scorsese documentary Long Strange Trip.The weekend will kick off with a Friday night performance by an “acoustilectric” solo set by Steve Kimock as well as a performance by KIMOCK featuring Steve and Johnny Kimock, Bobby Vega, and Leslie Mendelson. Headlining act for Friday night is the Wavy All Stars, featuring Steve Kimock, John Kadlecik, Aron Magner, Reed Mathis, Jay Lane, Kenny Brooks, and Leslie Mendelson. The All Stars will be followed by a late-night performance by Reed Mathis and Electric Beethoven.The following day, attendees can enjoy a screening of Martin Scorsese’s Grateful Dead documentary, Long Strange Trip, and explore Scott Shapiro’s Grateful Dead collection, which includes classic Grateful Dead artwork and concert posters. In the evening, the Gravy All Stars will take the stage, a supergroup this time composed of George Porter Jr., Michael Travis, John Kadlecik, Aron Magner, Vinnie Amico, and Tom Hamilton.
