Head coach Dabo Swinney benched Kelly Bryant in favor of freshman phenom Trevor Lawrence with the hopes of jump-starting a stagnant offense.Since then, Bryant announced his plans to transfer from the program. Immediately following his announcement, several teams entered the Kelly Bryant sweepstakes.Bryant visited North Carolina last weekend and plans to visit Arkansas this weekend as the Razorbacks take on Tulsa. The former Clemson starter already has a relationship with head coach Chad Morris, who recruited Bryant to Clemson when he was the offensive coordinator.Earlier this week, Bryant spoke about his relationship with Morris after the coach admitted he might not be a Clemson for long – to pursue a head coaching job.“He didn’t have to tell me that. He could’ve just told me what I wanted to hear. Just that honesty factor is the biggest thing I grew on and leaned on. The guy is so knowledgeable. He brings so much enthusiasm to coaching … Who wouldn’t want to play for a coach like that? He’s all about the players.”Bryant takes his official visit to Arkansas this weekend, but he’s in no hurry to make a decision. Missouri and Louisville have also been mentioned as potential landing spots for the star quarterback.Stay tuned.last_img
